🌽 The Anderson Farms corn maze — the state's largest — is an annual tradition. This year's design is a locomotive and a wagon pulled by oxen that boasts over 7 miles of trails and three different puzzles to solve.
- It's open Sept. 24 through Nov. 1. Tickets start at $13.50
🍻 Celebrate Oktoberfest in downtown Denver on two weekends, Sept. 19-21 and Sept. 26-28. The event features live music, a costume contest, stein hoisting competitions and keg bowling.
- The event is free, but VIP tickets start at $100.
🍎The "Best Little Fest in the West," the Morrison Ciderfest on Sept. 27 is family fun that features live music, bounce houses, horse and wagon rides, food trucks and a cider tasting.
- The event starts at 10am and goes until dark at the corner of Highway 8 and Summer Street in downtown Morrison. Free.
🚂 The Georgetown Loop railroad offers a unique way to see fall colors in the mountains. The train runs Sept. 19-21 and Sept. 26-28, and in October offers themed autumn and Halloween rides. Tickets start at $40 for adults
🍺 The Great American Beer Festival returns to the downtown Convention Center Oct. 9-11. This year's event will feature distilleries in addition to the rows of breweries. Tickets start at $85
👻 Ghosts and ghouls take over South Broadway on Oct. 25 for a Halloween parade featuring more than 70 floats and plenty of candy.
- The parade starts at 6pm at 500 S Broadway. Free
🎃 Visit the 10-acre pumpkin patch at Chatfield Farms to find that perfect gourd, or wander the corn maze and participate in other kid-friendly activities. Tickets start at $18 for adults, $10 for kids
🏃 Denver's annual Thanksgiving tradition is the 4-mile Turkey Trot and 1-mile family fun run at Washington Park. The first wave of runners, many of whom are in costume, starts at 9am.
- The run is dog-friendly and ends with a beer garden and family zone with kid-friendly games and face painters.
