Denver's Juneteenth festivalreturns Sunday to Denver's Five Points neighborhood.
What to expect: The free event starts with an 11am parade, first held in the 1950s, that serves as a celebration of the city's Black community. As many as 5,000 people are expected to participate this year.
Then the music starts at 12:30pm on two stages with headliner Juvenile set to take the stage at 7pm.
Between the lines: The festival is just one day this year because of a sharp decline in sponsors, the Denver Post reports.
If you go: The parade takes place on Welton Street and the main stages are located at the intersection with 27th Avenue.
