A fresh batch of data captures just how much Colorado's population grew amid the pandemic, and how it reversed course recently.
By the numbers: Dolores and San Juan counties in southwestern Colorado saw the greatest percentage jump at more than 25%, followed by Weld County's 15% growth, an Axios analysis of the latest five-year census data through 2023 finds.
- Overall the state grew 5.1% from 2019 to 2023 compared to the prior five years.
