Broncos host Browns for Monday Night Football

Quarterback Bo Nix will lead the Denver Broncos before a national audience against the Cleveland Browns in a critical Monday Night Football showdown.

The big picture: Denver (7-5) looks to secure its third straight victory behind Nix, whose emergence as a top NFL rookie has the Broncos eyeing the post-season.

The Browns (3-8) will try to upset the surging Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High.

Why it matters: The Broncos are drawing closer to their first playoff appearance since the 2015 season.

State of play: Courtland Sutton's explosive play at wideout is giving the team another reason for optimism.

He leads the team in receiving yards (744), touchdowns (5), and is even second in touchdown passes (1) after throwing a dime to Nix against the Baltimore Ravens.

The intrigue: Denver will debut its alternate uniforms Monday, donning the "Midnight Navy" jerseys with the "Summit White" helmets.

What to watch: The 6:15pm game will air on ESPN.
