Broncos hosting mobile voting unit

• The event is part of a civic engagement program called Broncos Country Votes that started in 2020. This year will mark the second time since 2022 the team plays host to a voting station.

Context: The mobile voting station is a fully functional voter service and polling center, City Clerk and Recorder Paul López tells us.

• That means people can check their registration, register to vote, cast and return their ballot or request a new one. It's also ADA accessible.

Zoom in: Engelken educates the 50-plus players on the Broncos roster, coaches and staff about voter registration options, determining their registration status and helping to check whether they can register locally or in another state.

What they're saying: "If we can be a unifying force in encouraging people to vote ... I feel like that's a great use of our brand, our platform and our ability to bring people together for a common good," Engelken tells us.

What's next: The voting station will be available Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 5pm at parking Lot J in the stadium's northwest side.

• Denver Broncos Cheerleaders will attend both days, with Miles the Mascot scheduled to appear on Friday.
