Denver weekend guide: Rockies season closes, Halloween Costume Swap, Boiler Room

1. ⚾️ Colorado Rockies

Coors Field will host games you won't want to miss this weekend.

Why it matters: The Colorado Rockies' season ends Sunday.

• As we predicted, this year hasn't been pretty.

The intrigue: They'll host the Los Angeles Dodgers, led by superstar Shohei Ohtani.

• The designated hitter and pitcher is in the middle of a record-setting season for home runs and stolen bases.

What to expect: Friday's game ends with fireworks, the first 20,000 fans on Saturday get Charlie Blackmon jersey shirts and, on Sunday, the first 10,000 get beanies.

• Blackmon announced his retirement this week.

2. 🐀 Oddities and Curiosities Expo

• Find one-of-a-kind trinkets, skulls and bones, taxidermy and funeral collectibles, beginning at 10am Saturday at the Colorado Convention Center. Tickets start at $11.

3. 🌾Wheatstock Grain & Music Festival

• This celebration features live music, whiskey and pizza bites from Moxie Bread Co, 4–8pm Saturday at Spirit Hound Distillers in Lyons. Tickets start at $60.

4. 👻 Halloween Costume Swap

• Bring a costume to trade or grab a new one at Stanley Marketplace (second floor, above Denver Biscuit Company), 10am–6pm Saturday. Free.

5. 🎶 Boiler Room

• Dance all evening at this popular traveling event featuring several DJ sets, 4–10pm Saturday and Sunday at Civic Center Park. Tickets start at $78.

6. 🪕Shaboozey

• The "A Bar Song" singer will headline the Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, 8pm Sunday and Monday. Both shows sold out — tickets available on resellers.
