GetRight's bakery in Wheat Ridge is expanding

• The space will also cater to the morning crowd, offering a sweet spot to enjoy pastries and other baked goods onsite.

Zoom in: The new afternoon and evening concept will focus on pizzas, with two varieties on the menu — one inspired by light and crispy Roman-style pies, and the other with a soft, chewy Neapolitan crust.

• They're also cooking up the possibility of pop-up dinners featuring guest chefs, co-owner Matt Dulin tells us.

The big picture: While Denver's pizza scene is fully baked, Wheat Ridge is still kneading some options, giving GetRight's the chance to slice into a fresh market.

• The idea is to fill a "niche" in the neighborhood, Dulin says. There aren't many pizza places nearby, and none offer "a big patio to serve people with a nice dining atmosphere."

• "It's been our goal from the beginning to bring city amenities that we like into more suburban settings," he tells us.

What's next: Dulin and his wife and co-owner Lindsey Judd plan to experiment over the next few months.

• By next year, they hope to add gelato to their menu and make pizzas available for takeout year-round.
