Denver weekend guide: Juneteenth Music Fest, Zach Bryan, Summer Brew Fest

1. ✊🏿 Juneteenth Music Festival

Catch Denver's longest-running parade at this year's Juneteenth Music Festival in Five Points.

Why it matters: Juneteenth recognizes the day in 1865 when enslaved Black people in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free, which came more than two months after the Civil War ended.

• The city's parade dates back to the 1950s, according to organizers.

What to expect: A two-day festival featuring over 200 food, retail, artisan and public health vendors, a kid's zone, and live music headlined by chart-topping rapper Bow Wow.

Former Nuggets star Chauncey Billups will receive the Juneteenth Music Festival Lifetime Achievement Award for his significant contributions to the community, 6pm Sunday on the main stage.

• The point guard was selected to two NBA All-Star teams during his time in Denver.

Cost: Free. Front-of-stage and VIP bar access can be purchased starting at $50.

2. 🎵 Zach Bryan

• The Grammy-winning country singer is performing two shows at Mile High stadium with Sierra Ferrell and Levi Turner. Tickets are still available for Friday's concert starting at $125.

3. 😂 Steve Martin and Martin Short

• The stars of "Only Murders in the Building" are performing stand-up at Red Rocks accompanied by the band Steep Canyon Rangers and keyboardist Jeff Babko. Tickets start at $120

4. 🏳️‍🌈 Tennyson St. Pride Parade

• Watch miniature floats made by local businesses ride down Tennyson Street, followed by an after-party at Call to Arms Brewery. Free

5. 🍺 Summer Brew Fest

• Bring Dad to taste over 100 beers, ciders and seltzers from local breweries. There will be live music and food trucks at Mile High Station noon–9pm Saturday. Tickets start at $43

6. 🎶 Janet Jackson

• Get ready to dance. The five-time Grammy winner will take the stage at Ball Arena with Nelly, 8pm Sunday. Tickets start at $30

7. 🛩️ "Snoopy and the Red Baron" exhibit

• Inspired by the popular storyline from the "Peanuts" comics, this exhibit at Wings Over the Rockies includes original comic strips and memorabilia, a paper airplane station and a photo-op next to Snoopy's doghouse. Tickets
