It's A Bodega is far from your everyday corner store.
The "exotic snack boutique" stocks its shelves with rare finds from countries near and far to "bring the world to Denver" through food and beverages, store owner and goodies connoisseur KC Christian tells Axios.
- Christian began his business online last year but recently moved into a brick-and-mortar shop next to Roostercat Coffee House in Capitol Hill. (Snacks can still be ordered online for pickup or to have shipped.)
What you can get: The limit does not exist! No-shell Skittles from the U.K.? Check. Chocolate churros Cheetos from Japan? Uh-huh. Sprite Ice from Russia? You bet. Salted caramel Oreos from Korea? Two boxes please!
- Did we mention: Nutella biscuits from France, chicken souvlaki Pringles from Australia or chocolate and banana Fanta from China?
Yes, but: That's just scratching the surface. Christian's hand-picked collection is regularly updated, so there are always new options to try — and he's eager to guide you along as you shop.
Open: Tuesday–Saturday from 1–7pm and Sunday from 12–6pm. 1045 Lincoln St., Suite 107.
- Be smart: The store is downstairs, and you need a code to enter the building. It's currently 7538# — though subject to change. (Any code changes are reflected on the shop's Instagram page.)
