Coffee tables are quaking with the introduction of the Sofa Stud, a spill-proof cup holder for your couch invented by a couple in Littleton.
What they're saying: "We believe it’s a solution to a major problem — which is where to put your drink," co-founder Mike Levinson says in this gem of a promo video.
How it works: The party-hearty product, which runs online for $11.95, comes equipped with a fin that wedges between your couch cushions and keeps your drink in place.
- The couple has invested around $20,000 in the business and sold 1,500 units, BusinessDen reports.
Of note: The Levinsons’ creation holds 12-ounce bottles and cans, but they recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund a new model with a slit for mug handles.
- As of Tuesday afternoon, the campaign had 72 backers and raised $4,644 toward its goal of $10,500.
What to watch: The couple, who are avid "Shark Tank" viewers, have applied to pitch their business on the primetime ABC show.
