Metallica announces Cleveland stadium show

Cleveland has its first stadium concert of 2027.

What's happening: Metallica will bring its "M72 World Tour" to Huntington Bank Field on June 15.

Limp Bizkit and Avatar will open the show.

The intrigue: Metallica has regularly toured for years, but this is the first time the 2009 Rock Hall inductee will play such a venue in Northeast Ohio.

Metallica last played Cleveland in 2019 in Rocket Arena.

The big picture: Huntington Bank Field hosted four concerts this year, including Foo Fighters, Usher/Chris Brown, Jelly Roll/Post Malone and Zach Bryan.
