Browns balance value and need with 2026 NFL draft picks

• The Browns used the ninth pick to select Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano, who was considered one of the best offensive linemen available.
• Cleveland then selected Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion with the No. 24 pick, addressing a major need for the offense.

What they're saying: "We're very excited in terms of how Night 1 concluded for us," general manager Andrew Berry said during a Thursday press conference.

• "To get two of, kind of what I would call our shortlist players, to pick up another top 100 pick, as well as another pick in the top 150, you know, we were very pleased with just really all the activity this evening."

State of play: The Browns weren't done there, using their remaining picks over the weekend to address other needs.

• The picks included Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston, Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, Florida offensive lineman Austin Barber and Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green.

What's next: New head coach Todd Monken will get his first look at the draftees during rookie minicamp at the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus in Berea starting May 8.
