This year's Groundbreaker Award winner sees the members of the Vietnam War's first Black special ops team reuniting to tell their story.

🎥 "Barbara Forever"

The documentary chronicling the life and career of pioneering lesbian filmmaker Barbara Hammer won the 2026 DReam Maker Award.

🎸 "In the Ever"

The film follows a 1970s mechanic and folksinger whose life changes when the songs he wrote for his dead mother become hits.

• The film's co-directors, Yaya and C.M. Sutton (who also plays the lead), have ties to Cincinnati.

📰 "Steal This Story, Please!"

The documentary celebrates the career of Democracy Now! founder Amy Goodman and was executive produced by several celebrities, including Rosario Dawson, Jane Fonda and Tom Morello.

🎂 "Happy Birthday"

The Egyptian coming-of-age drama follows an 8-year-old maid who throws a birthday party for her wealthy friend.
