If you have kids who love Lego, Ohio can be a plastic, brick-building paradise.
The intrigue: One of my favorite spots to take my kids (when I have extra money) is the Lego Store.
Northeast Ohio has two locations, one in Westlake and the other in Beachwood.
State of play: I know what you're thinking — aren't they cheaper online? Perhaps, but the Lego Store is an experience.
The latest craze is the immersive set called Smart Play that make sounds based on how you move them.
My 7-year-old got an in-store demonstration of the "Star Wars" Smart Play set and we wound up going home with Luke Skywalker's Red Five X-Wing.
If you go: Lego Stores are hosting Easter activities starting March 27, featuring seasonal sets and an egg hunt.
Zoom out: If you want an even grander experience, there's a Legoland Discovery Center — essentially an indoor brick-building wonderland — in Columbus.
