Playhouse Square lands "The Who's Tommy" tour premiere

• The show, based on The Who's iconic 1969 album, is an all-new production of the musical that debuted in 1992.

The big picture: It'll be the third national tour launch in just over a year at Playhouse Square.

• "The Notebook" kicked off its run at Connor Palace last September, while "Hell's Kitchen" launched at KeyBank State Theatre in October.
