Several Cleveland artists are up for Grammys — here's who to watch

The intrigue: The list of familiar names includes Nine Inch Nails. The band is nominated for Best Rock Song and Best Song Written for Visual Media thanks to the song "As Alive as You Need Me to Be" from the "Tron: Ares" soundtrack.

• The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach is nominated for Producer of the Year (Non-Classical), an award he won in 2013.

Zoom in: The Cleveland Orchestra's "Eastman: Symphony No. 2; Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 2" is nominated for Best Engineered Album (Classical), while Cleveland native Durand Bernarr is up for this year's R&B categories.

• Shaker Heights music producer Elaine Martone is nominated for Producer of the Year (Classical), an award she won last year.

The big picture: Martone is a six-time Grammy winner.

• Other past winners with Northeast Ohio ties include Frank Yankovic, Tracy Chapman, Nine Inch Nails, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, The Black Keys and Kid Cudi.

How to watch: The Grammys will air at 8pm Sunday on CBS.

Pro tip: Most of the 90-plus awards will be presented during the Grammys' pre-telecast Premiere Ceremony.
