Kidventure Chronicles: Cleveland Museum of Natural History

👋🏾 Troy here, coming off an extended holiday weekend and multiple snow days.

The intrigue: One of those days — Martin Luther King Jr. Day — provided free admission at several of Cleveland's most popular attractions.

• This year, I chose the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, which has been one of my kids' favorite local spots for years.

State of play: The museum offers everything from life-sized dinosaur and animal displays, to immersive exhibits exploring the history of Earth and the universe surrounding us.

• You can conduct science experiments and dig for dinosaur fossils in the Smead Discovery Center on the lower level and view multiple shows in the stunning planetarium (extra ticket required).

Between the lines: The Wildlife Center & Woods Garden is open year-round.

• The outdoor area features plants and animals native to Ohio, and an elevated walkway with gorgeous views of University Circle.

If you go: The museum is open 10am-5pm daily.

• Advance tickets are $25 for adults, $18 for kids.
