The intrigue: The candy warehouse on Brookpark Road near Parma has more than 5,500 items from national and regional candy brands, new and old.

• I'm talking everything from Pez and lollipops to Campbell's popcorn and Big League Chew.

State of play: I've visited multiple times with my children, who love the oversized lollipops and individually flavored boxes of Mike and Ike candy.

• My four-year-old gets to push around a toy shopping cart, while I make sure to limit them to just three items, which is as difficult as it sounds.

Between the lines: The entire store is 40,000 square-feet and includes a Soda Shoppe with old-school beverages and an ice cream buffet.

• During warm weather months, you can venture outside to the Golfland mini-golf park.

The bottom line: It's like having your own adventure park just 15 minutes outside of Cleveland.
