👋🏾 Troy here, letting you know what I've been up to with my kids lately.
The intrigue: One of Cleveland's holiday hidden gems is Puritas Nursery in the West Park neighborhood.
The greenhouse opened in 1925 and sells everything from topsoil and mulch to garden seeds and vegetables grown on site.
State of play: During Christmas season, Puritas also showcases one of the area's largest toy train displays, which you can view for free (though donations are appreciated).
The train sets feature a variety of themes, including the circus, medieval times, Disney, King Kong, "The Simpsons" and more.
The only issue was keeping my kids from touching everything.
Pro-tip: Puritas also sells Christmas trees, if you still need one, and the gift shop has beautiful ornaments and hand-crafted items to decorate with.
If you go: The nursery is open 9am-8pm Monday through Friday; 9am-6pm Saturday and Sunday.
Trains are on display through Dec. 31.
