Cleveland's biggest cruise season ever sails to a close

By the numbers: Port officials estimate the 2025 season generated more than $2 million in total economic impact, including $1.3 million in direct visitor spending on dining, attractions, and local experiences.

What's next: American Cruise Lines will launch two new itineraries from Cleveland in 2026, including a passport-free, U.S.-only route, making the city both a stop and a starting point for travelers exploring the Great Lakes.

The bottom line: "Every cruise passenger who steps off a ship here discovers a city that exceeds their expectations," said Destination Cleveland CEO David Gilbert.
