No Kings movement keeps marching in Cleveland with weekly protests

No Kings protests wrapped up last weekend, but their spirit continues in downtown Cleveland.

Catch up quick: The nationwide demonstrations were in opposition to several Trump administration policies, including immigration enforcement and the planned deployment of military into Democratic-led cities.

The protest at the Free Stamp in Cleveland's Willard Park drew approximately 15,000 people, per 19 News, including Mayor Justin Bibb and Democratic Rep. Shontel Brown.
That's up from the 10,000 that showed up to the first No Kings rally at the Free Stamp on June 14, according to organizers.

What's next: Members of Mobilize the Vote NEO say they will continue to host similar protests each Wednesday at East 9th Street and Lakeside Avenue moving forward.

The weekly rallies, which have been taking place since February, continue Wednesday at 11am.

What they're saying: "Our Ohio senators are doing a great job rubber-stamping all things MAGA, but they don't represent Ohio," organizer Ellen Brown tells Axios.

"[That's] just to say — No Kings wasn't a one and done."
