👋 Sam here. The best thing I ate this week was a plate of garlic parmesan wings at the Brewdog Cleveland Outpost.
State of play: It's Wing Week, and nearly 30 restaurants across town are offering up plates of wings for $7.
I was meandering through the Scranton Peninsula to lay eyes on the explosive residential development there — 600 new units by year's end — and took a pit stop for supper.
Garlic parm on the left.
What I ordered: Two plates of six wings — garlic parm and standard Buffalo — enough to take a few home for leftovers.
I preferred the garlic parm. The wings were bursting with buttery garlic flavor but retained their crispy texture.
The green onions were a nice touch, too, both for plate appeal and extra crunch.
Stop by: Brewdog is one of the rare Cleveland restaurants open seven days a week. Its expansive interior space, outdoor patio and riverfront setting are optimal for group outings.
And if you're a real wing nut, the Wednesday wing special is even better than wing week, with unlimited wings for $1 apiece.
