Soap opera star Maurice Benard, of "General Hospital," to stop in Cleveland

Actor Maurice Benard is making the journey from Port Charles to Cleveland on Monday.

The intrigue: Benard, famous for portraying Sonny Corinthos on the soap opera "General Hospital," takes the stage at Hilarities on 4th Street.

• It's billed as an "evening of inspiration and reflection," but "General Hospital" fans will surely step to the mic during the show's Q&A portion.

Between the lines: Benard has also become an advocate for mental health due to his own struggles with bipolar disorder.

• The venue's menu of chicken tenders, nuggets and waffle fries (along with a hot pink ranch dressing) is a nice warmup for a Hilarities show.
