Record-breaking July 4 travel is expected to jam roadways and runways — so plan ahead.
The big picture: Nationwide, more than 72 million people, including nearly 3.5 million Ohioans, are expected to travel 50+ miles over the long Independence Day holiday, per AAA data for June 28–July 6.
That's 1.7 million more than last year, and 7 million more than in 2019.
