NFL Draft: Browns could take Hunter, Carter or trade down

The intrigue: The Browns' first option with the No. 2 pick is to draft the best player available — likely Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter or Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter.

• Cleveland could also trade the No. 2 pick for more draft picks. Reports indicate the team is open to offers.

Between the lines: It doesn't appear the Browns will draft a quarterback at No. 2, but the team could take one later.

• Options include Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart or Alabama's Jalen Milroe, whom Browns offensive coordinator Tommy Rees coached in college.

What they're saying: "It's usually less about, OK, this player versus that player, but how do you ultimately maximize the full allotment of your picks," Cleveland general manager Andrew Berry recently told ESPN Cleveland.

• "Obviously, the first priority is to try and get the best player that you possibly can."
