Preview: MAC basketball tournaments return to Rocket Arena

The top basketball teams from the Mid-American Conference will compete at Rocket Arena over the next few days for spots in next week's NCAA Tournaments.

State of play: The women's MAC tourney starts today at 11am when No. 1 seed Ball State takes on No. 8 Western Michigan.

• The men's tournament begins at 11am tomorrow with the top-seed Akron Zips facing No. 8 Bowling Green.

The big picture: It's likely the winner of each tournament will be the sole MAC representative in the men's and women's March Madness brackets.

• Rocket Arena will later host men's first round March Madness games on March 21 and 23.
