This week's photo is a historical shot of famed Cleveland inventor Garrett Morgan.
He's seen displaying a medal he was awarded not for his invention of the traffic light or the gas mask, but for his heroism in the 1916 waterworks tunnel disaster.
State of play: Morgan is on our mind not only because we celebrated Garrett Morgan Day last week, but because his granddaughter, Sandra Morgan, was just appointed interim mayor of East Cleveland.
