👋 Sam here. I'm admittedly more of a pro sports guy than a college sports guy.

Yes, but: I won't turn my nose up at a beer that benefits student-athletes.

Beer of the week: BrewDog's The Foundation Ohio Pilsner.

State of play: The easy drinking "game day beer" weighs in at 4% ABV.

• BrewDog says it is brewed with hops grown in the Midwest to "conjure a sense of home team pride."
• A portion of the proceeds benefit The Foundation, a nonprofit NIL collective formed in 2022 for Ohio State University football and basketball players.

💭 My thought bubble: I bought one last week on special at Tremont's Lincoln Park Pub and found it to be perfectly satisfactory.

Verdict: An inoffensive, modestly priced option if you plan to have two or three over the course of a sporting event.

Stop by: In honor of the Buckeyes' national championship, BrewDog will host victory parties Thursday at its Ohio locations.
