Cuyahoga County Public Library and SEIU agree to contract

By the numbers: The agreement guarantees a 5% raise in 2024 (retroactive to March 31), a 4% raise in 2025 and a 3% raise in 2026.

• The pay scale was a compromise, as SEIU initially asked for a 7.25% pay increase this year.

What they're saying: "We are extremely pleased that there will be no strike and that we will continue to offer uninterrupted services to our customers," CCPL CEO Tracy Strobel said in a statement.

• "CCPL is proud to offer competitive wages, annual pay increases, and robust benefits to full-time and part-time Library employees."

What's next: CCPL's board of trustees will vote to formally approve the contract at its July 23 meeting.
