👋 Sam and Troy here. We asked you in a special weekend edition of the newsletter how you planned to spend the eclipse.
It seems only fair to return the favor.
💠Troy's thought bubble: My kids were pumped for the eclipse, which made me excited for it.
We viewed it at a playground on the west side.
💠Sam's thought bubble: I'd been somewhat indifferent to the idea of the eclipse and was baffled by the over-the-top media hype.
But by noon, it was shaping up to be among the most glorious days of the year. I hopped on my bike to see the scene at Edgewater.
Verdict: Nowhere near as jam-packed as we'd been led to expect.
The bottom line: I then met up with my wife and friends on the east side, suddenly conscious that this would be a moment to remember decades down the road.
