It's time to put on your green gear and shout "Erin go bragh!"

Why it matters: This year, St. Patrick's Day falls on a Sunday, turning one of the biggest party days of the year into a weekend of Guinness pints, shamrocks, and corned beef and cabbage.

By the numbers: Nearly 12% of people in Cuyahoga County report having Irish ancestry, higher than the U.S. average of 9.5%.

Here's a breakdown of local festivities:

🇮🇪 The Parade

The theme for this year's procession is "Ireland: One Island, One Nation."

  • We're not exactly sure what that entails, but things kick off at 2:04pm Sunday at Superior Avenue and East 18th Street.
