Anywhere Country Club brings the golf course to you

Context: Co-founders Jake Weyand and Jack Galatio launched Anywhere Country Club in late May of this year.

• Since then, they've been doing three to five events per month — a mix of backyard birthday parties and corporate events, Weyand tells Axios.

• "The birthday parties were mostly for kids, ages 1–7, where we were set up as entertainment for the adults!" Weyand says.

What to expect: Course options include Pinehurst No. 2, Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass, plus other iconic courses. You can also play Charlotte's own Quail Hollow Club, which hosts the Truist Championship and has hosted the PGA Championship and the Presidents Cup.

• The simulator can be set up inside or outside. An indoor setup requires a 13-foot ceiling, plus a 13-foot-by-13-foot space. Outdoor space just requires a flat surface. Bookings must be at least three hours long and located within a 50-mile radius of Charlotte.
• The Anywhere Country Club team provides left- and right-handed clubs, plus clubs for kids, but you may bring your own. They also take care of the setup and teardown.
• Pricing varies based on event length, location and number of people, Weyand says.
