Elevated brunch and dinner spot coming soon to NoDa

A new restaurant called Too Chicks Bistro is expected to open in the former MaBí space in NoDa this fall.

Why it matters: Sisters Thommy and Brandy White want to bring an elevated but playful dining experience to the neighborhood, with breakfast, brunch and dinner served daily.

What they're saying: The sisters are calling their approach "fly dining", a mix of fine dining and a lively, laid-back atmosphere.

"Fly dining still has the same concept of fine dining with a little turn up. Not too much," Thommy explains.
The restaurant's name is a nod to the two sisters, with a cheeky play on the word "chicks" that carries throughout the experience.

What to expect: The menu will feature brunch classics such as shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, plus breakfast bowls and tacos. Dinner options will include braised sea bass, Tuscan chicken and a few desserts.

The cocktail menu is still in the works, but expect playful names like "Chick Please" and "Chick on the Side."
Even the service will get in on the wordplay. Servers might ask, "Which chick do you prefer?" when taking orders.

What's next: Too Chicks is expected to open in November at 416 E 36th St, across from The Ugly. They plan to be open 8am-11pm daily.
