Fall has finally arrived. Here are 10 ways to celebrate the arts this season.

Charlotte Film Festival
Through Sept. 27; times vary
What to expect: The 18th festival, which is at Independent Picture House, celebrates local, regional, national and international films.

Festival in the Park
Sept. 25-27; times vary
What to expect: Head to Freedom Park for the 62nd annual celebration of art and music. There will also be plenty of food.
If you go: The festival is free to attend.
Potters Market at the Mint
Sept. 26, 9am-4pm
What to expect: See work from more than 55 ceramic artists from across North Carolina on the lawn of the Mint Museum Randolph. The 20th anniversary of the market includes pottery you can use daily, plus decorative pieces.

The Black Box Series
Oct. 2-17; times vary
What to expect: Charlotte Ballet's program will feature Mthuthuzeli November's "From Africa With Love," "Dos y Dos y Dos" from artistic director Alejandro Cerrudo and a new phoenix-inspired work by German American duo FLOCK.
If you go: Tickets start at $30.
Wedding
Oct. 3 at 7pm
What to expect: Put on your most outrageous wedding attire and head to Goodyear Arts at Camp North End for their immersive fundraiser. Wedding will help fund paid artist residencies and exhibitions.
If you go: Tickets start at $50. Attendees must be at least 21 years old.
Come from Away
Through Oct. 4; times vary
What to expect: See "Come From Away" at Theatre Charlotte. The Tony Award–winning musical chronicles when 7,000 airline passengers were grounded in Gander, Newfoundland, on Sept. 11, 2001.

Symphony on Tap
Nov. 4, 7:30pm
What to expect: Hear Charlotte Symphony musicians perform at Triple C in South End.

Liberation
Nov. 6-22; times vary
What to expect: See Three Bone Theatre's production of "Liberation" at the Arts Factory. The Tony Award-winning play is set in 1970. A group of women met on a basketball court in Ohio determined to advocate for women's liberation. Half a century later, one of their daughters tries to understand what happened.

Leonardo versus Michelangelo
Nov. 12-March 27, 2027
What to expect: Step into the rivalry between icons Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. The 90-minute immersive experience includes virtual reality, exhibit space, massive projections and a full-scale virtual museum.
