New Japanese restaurant brings revolving sushi and robots to south Charlotte

You can grab sushi from a revolving conveyor belt at this new restaurant in south Charlotte.
Why it matters: Kura Sushi at Stonecrest at Piper Glen is the first North Carolina location for the Japanese restaurant.
How it works: Grab plates as they pass by on the lower level conveyor belt, or order specific dishes from a touch screen panel. Special orders are delivered to your table on an upper express belt.
- Kura also has a few robot servers that delivers drinks straight to your table.
Dig in: The menu features more than 100 dishes, including nigiri like American wagyu, garlic ponzu salmon and garlic skipjack tuna, plus rolls like the spicy tuna crunchy roll and tiger roll.
- All sushi plates are $3.75. The menu also features noodle dishes like ramen and soba, and dessert.
- Return 15 empty sushi plates through the disposal slot at your table and you'll receive a prize through Kura's "Bikkura Pon" game.
