PopUp Bagels opens in Plaza Midwood Friday, July 10.
Catch up quick:The buzzy bagel chain, which got its start in Connecticut and New York, is known for its creative schmears and whole (unsliced bagels).
Part of the brand's Southeast expansion, PopUp Bagels opened its first North Carolina location at The Bowl at Ballantyne last October.
State of play: Its second Charlotte shop opens at 8am on July 10 in Plaza Midwood's Commonwealth development.
What to expect: Bagels come in packs of three, six or 12 and are available in five flavors: plain, salt, poppy, sesame and everything.
Mainstay schmears include plain, scallion and salted butter, plus rotating weekly cream cheese and butter specials.
If you go: The shop is teaming up with Harriet's Hamburgers, which recently opened in Commonwealth, on a limited-time "Good Good Schmear" made with their Good Good Sauce.
