A second Titanic experience is coming to Charlotte this spring.
Why it matters: Immersive experiences and exhibits recreating the ship's devastating voyage are popping up all over the world. Two are now set to come to Charlotte this year.
The latest: "Titanic: The Exhibition" will be at The Park Expo & Conference Center Friday, May 15, through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7.
- The exhibit previously visited Chicago, Dallas and Salt Lake City.
Between the lines: "Titanic: The Exhibition" is a separate Titanic-themed exhibit from the previously announced "Titanic: Echoes from the Past" exhibit coming to The GreenHouse in west Charlotte this spring.

What to expect: In "Titanic: Echoes from the Past," you're given the name of a real passenger who boarded the Titanic. As you explore the ship, you follow their storyline.

The experience includes a replica of the grand staircase, the first-class hallway and millionaires' suite, the third-class hallway and cabin, the boiler room, and the ship's deck, all set against a starlit sky.

The Discovery Gallery shows research on the shipwreck. Visitors will walk across a raised glass floor, which represents the ocean floor and the ship's resting place. The gallery includes a film that explores the ship's demise.

Charlotte's exhibit will include a new gallery called "Titanic's Connections to the Carolinas." A distress telegram was sent to the Cape Hatteras U.S. Weather Bureau Station when the ship struck an iceberg.

There's an optional audio guide and VR experience that takes visitors to the ocean floor to explore the shipwreck.

If you go: The Park Expo & Conference Center is at 800 Briar Creek Road.
- Tickets start at $26.50.
