Next month, Axios' Laura Barrero will be a guest judge in the inaugural "Next Level Hope" competition — a live chef showdown, featuring some of Charlotte's favorites.
Why it matters: Proceeds support Hope Haven's residential recovery programs, which provide housing, counseling and family support for people facing addiction and homelessness.
What to expect: Participating chefs include Chayil Johnson from Community Matters Cafe, Shaun King of Uchi and Uchiba and Vince Giancarlo of B-Side Group (Vinyl, Mi Cariño and soon-to-open Lady Funari). They'll compete alongside a rising group of culinary creators.
Guests can sample dishes, vote for their favorite team, and watch the competition unfold in real time.
