Sweetgreen opens in Plaza Midwood next week.
Driving the news: The fast-casual salad chain is opening with a list of freebies and events to celebrate its second Charlotte location. Plus, Sweetgreen says it will donate one meal to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina for every meal purchased on opening day.
April 21: Expect a tomato print bucket hat giveaway for their grand opening from 11am-2pm.
April 23: Grab custom embroidered totes by C2 Studio from 4-7pm.
April 25: Pick flowers from Bentley's Buds Flower Truck from 11am-2pm and the Knight's mascot Homer the Dragon will make an appearance from 12-1pm.
What to expect: The new 2,200 square foot location will serve the same salads, bowls, protein plates and sides you'd find at its Uptown location.
Zoom out: The restaurant joins a growing list of business openings at the Commonwealth development.
Harriet's Hamburgers and Uchi and Uchibā recently opened. Bartaco and the popular NYC-based bakery and café Maman are among the businesses coming soon.
