Matt Moore remembers going to every home game during the 2015 Carolina Panthers season.
A decade later, he's been commissioned by the team to paint a mural ahead of today's playoff game.
What he's saying: For Moore, the mural is his way of contributing to the hype around the Panthers returning to the playoffs for the first time since the 2017 season.
"I can't go out there and run pass routes or tackle dudes on the field, but I can rattle cans and try to get people fired up," Moore tells Axios.
Zoom in: The mural is called "Sound the Drum" in reference to the team's iconic Keep Pounding drum.
It's located on the former Price's Chicken Coop building, a longtime Charlotte staple that closed in 2021.
Moore has painted several murals across Charlotte, including the tunnel at Bank of America Stadium.
Stop by: "Sound the Drum" is at 1614 Camden Road, across from the Rail Trail.
If you go: Panthers take on the Rams at 4:30pm at Bank of America Stadium. Tickets start at $172.
