This serene waterfront retreat in Denver, N.C. is our 2025 pick for Best Lakeside Design.

Why it matters: Our eighth annual Home of the Year award highlights exceptional design, and this new build on Lake Norman uses its architecture to capture sweeping waterfront views at every turn.

The house: Spanning 7,600 square feet, the estate offers room to spread out with seven bedrooms, seven full baths and two half baths.

Zoom out: Outside, the pool terrace flows seamlessly toward the shoreline, giving the backyard a resort-like feel.
