Cara's Cookie Company will open at Camp North End on July 19.
Why it matters: Owners Tom and Jennifer Hamilton have seen their passion project grow from a nonprofit treat business to a spot in Concord, another in High Point, and now a permanent shop in Camp North End.
Context: The Hamiltons first began gifting cookies to attendees of fundraisers for Cara's Purpose, a nonprofit they founded in honor of their daughter, who died of a brain tumor. When the pandemic halted those events in 2020, the couple turned their cookies into a business.
Dig in: The massive, half-pound cookies will be available in 13 flavors.
The new shop will also offer cookie push pops, edible cookie dough and cookie decorating kits, according to a press release.
