NASCAR champion Martin Truex Jr. is selling his European-style manor on Lake Norman for $7,500,000.
Why it matters: Purchasing the Mooresville mansion would make you neighbors with former Carolina Panthers player Christian McCaffrey.
Driving the news: The new listing comes a year after the former race car driver announced his retirement in June 2024. Now, the New Jersey native is parting ways with his North Carolina residence.
Context: Truex's house is less than a mile away from McCaffrey's "Grand Lac Chateau" castle.
- McCaffrey listed his home at the start of 2024 but took it off the market by the end of last year.
Yes, but: In addition to being half a mile apart, both luxury castle-like properties maintain their privacy through their own gated entrances.
Layout: At 14,379 square feet, Truex's mansion has five bedrooms plus five full and four half bathrooms.
- Inside, you'll find a grand living room with panoramic lake views and a gourmet chef's kitchen.
- The main-level primary suite comes with a spa-inspired bathroom and a luxury two-story closet.
Luxury features: Throughout the lower level of the home are entertainment areas featuring a custom bar, game lounge, home theater and gym.
Bonus: A guest apartment above the detached carriage house provides additional living spaces for guests.
- The carriage house also has garage space for four cars. An attached garage to the home can hold two cars.
Lakeside living: The estate consists of nearly five waterfront acres along Lake Norman, which offers a list of expansive outdoor amenities providing additional views and direct access to the water.
- Outside, you'll find a resort-style pool, waterfall, fire pit, and private dock with a boat lift.
