Carolina Panthers fans can expect higher ticket prices for the upcoming season at Bank of America Stadium. Not including premium seating, tickets will go up a little over 6%, a team spokesperson confirmed to Axios.
Why it matters: Price hikes are common across sports. But even with fans feeling optimistic after a 5-12 season, the Panthers haven't been to the playoffs since 2017.
Driving the news: The Panthers emailed season ticket renewals Tuesday morning. Fans have until May 1 to renew by either paying in full or setting up a six-month, interest-free payment plan.
Between the lines: Ticket prices will not go up for upper bowl personal seat license (PSL) owners.
- Premium seats, such as club seats and suites, operate on a multi-year commitment and have built-in price increases. Last year, tickets rose an average of 7% for lower bowl PSL owners.
- The team will also introduce a new PSL benefits plan, which will include exclusive access and perks with customizable options.
By the numbers: Season tickets start at $510.
- PSLs start at $21 per month for 48 months.
Zoom out: This is the third consecutive season the team has raised ticket prices. Prices rose 4% in 2024 and 5.8% in 2023. In 2022, prices remained unchanged for non-premium seats.
- The Panthers dropped from 19th in the NFL for non-premium ticket pricing in 2023 to 20th in 2024, per a Panthers spokesperson. They expect to remain in a similar position this season, making them some of the cheapest tickets in the league.
What we're watching: The organization is preparing for major Bank of America Stadium renovations in the coming years.
- Meanwhile, the carousel of head coaches and quarterbacks seems to have finally slowed on Mint Street.
- Now, fans have to wait and see what head coach Dave Canales and quarterback Bryce Young can cook up this season.
