The Carolina Panthers dropped from 17th last year to 25th in the current National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) team report card.
Why it matters: The team ranked 12th when the NFLPA released its first report card in 2023 and has continued to slip in the players' workplace conditions survey.
Zoom in: Team travel dropped significantly "due to the new coaching staff moving players from first class last season and placing them in smaller, coach seats," per the report card.
- Players would prefer to play on grass rather than turf, which has been a point of frustration since Bank of America Stadium switched to the artificial surface to accommodate more events.
- Team owner David Tepper's rating dropped from 28th to 31st. Players feel ownership "only slightly contributes to a positive team culture." There's also concern about "perceived willingness to invest in the facilities."
