In honor of Valentine's Day, we're back with another installment of our Blind Date series.
- This time, we matched Anna (27) and Scott (30) and teed them up for a mini golf date at The Puttery in South End.
Ready to meet your match this year? Apply here for an upcoming date and send the application to your single friends. It's super easy!
First, let's get to know Anna:
- She's a 27-year-old communications consultant.
- She likes going to museums, arcades, parks and the farmer's market. She also likes dancing and crafts.
- Her perfect day in Charlotte includes playing with adoptable cats at The Humane Society, shopping at a few local businesses and dessert.
- She's looking for someone who "enjoys attending events, exploring new places, is compassionate, considerate, and in-tune with themselves."

Now, let's meet Scott.
- He's a 30-year-old travel director.
- His hobbies include reading, painting, cooking and fantasy football.
- On his perfect day in Charlotte, he'd start with a walk in Freedom Park, then hit Vicente for a cappuccino and a pastry.
- Scott says he's looking for someone "empathetic and good-hearted who values the close relationships in their life."

How it works: After setting them up and sending them on their date, we had follow-up conversations. Here's how the date went according to each of them.
Editor's note: Responses have been edited lightly for length and clarity.
How do you typically meet your dates?
Anna: Sometimes through the apps, but mostly through friends.
Scott: I typically meet my dates through apps. Sometimes, it's through mutual friends or out at a bar, sporting event, or concert. I work from home, and I think I saw 10% of people meet their spouses at work so that shrinks options a bit.
How would you describe your conversation?
Anna: Really good, he asked lots of questions and kept the conversation going. It was packed though, which made talking during mini golf a little difficult, but we had a chance to catch up after at the bar.
Scott: The conversation was really nice. We flowed fairly easily and were able to have good banter while also having some more meaningful conversations. I think that balance is super important.
How would you describe your chemistry?
Anna: I think we both enjoyed our time together, but I'm not sure if either of us expects this to go anywhere. I would definitely stay friends with him.
Scott: Speaking candidly, I thought Anna was great, but I don't think there was a ton of flirtatious energy between the two of us. We did close down The Puttery, though!
What are your thoughts on the date overall?
Anna: A very good experience. I love meeting new people and checking out new places — Scott was a great first date. Funny enough, there was another speed dating event happening there that the staff thought we were a part of.
Scott: I had a good time! Anna's an incredibly fascinating woman, and it was great getting to know her.
What's next? How did you leave it?
Anna: He walked me to my car and we got each other's number.
Scott: We've been texting about our mutual love of air fryers (the most millennial thing ever, I know), so we'll see.
