"Southern/Modern" opens this weekend at the Mint Museum Uptown and will be on view through Feb. 2, 2025.
Context: It was created in collaboration with the Georgia Museum of Art and curated by the Mint Museum's senior curator of American Art, Jonathan Stuhlman.
What to expect: The exhibit includes more than 100 paintings. It explores progressive art created during the first half of the 20th century by artists who lived or worked in the South.
"The Queen City: Then and Now, " a free panel discussion about the exhibit, will occur from 2-3pm.
