When The Avett Brothers recently released the music video for their song "Country Kid" from their upcoming album, viewers jumped into their Instagram comments guessing where it took place. Several correctly figured out the video was filmed at Frye's Roller Rink in Concord.
Why it matters: The Concord kids grew up and became a Grammy Award-nominated group. But as this music video shows, The Avett Brothers' hometown roots remain strong.

What they're saying: Frye's Roller Rink is an institution, Seth Avett said in a statement to Axios.
- "It's been a hub of family enjoyment and an essential destination for kids in the area for decades … seemed like there was no better place to have fun, get goofy with our neighbors, and ultimately to connect some of our most enduring childhood (and grown-up) dreams," Seth said.
- Many of the extras in the video are Concord residents.
