Mad Miles Run Club founder Cornell Jones plans to open an indoor track facility in Charlotte in the next five to 10 years.

Why it matters: Mad Miles is one of Charlotte're s most popular run clubs, attracting hundreds of people to its weekly events, Axios' McKenzie Rankin writes.

  • Yet, easily accessible indoor track facilities are rather hard to find in our area.

What to expect: The completed facility will have both indoor and outdoor running tracks, Jones tells Axios.

  • One goal for the space is to host track meets for high schools and colleges/universities.
