11 mobile coffee shops to check out in the Charlotte area

We’ve noticed a growing number of mobile coffee brands popping up around Charlotte lately.

Why it matters: Oftentimes, these mobile options are a stepping stone to brick-and-mortar locations.

  • Wildroots, for example, transitioned from a truck to a storefront after massive support from the community.

Here’s are 11 mobile coffee shops, from matcha-based menus to Turkish coffee, that you should check out. 

Avalanche Coffee Company

A veteran-owned coffee company that donates a portion of sales to local charities.

  • Of note: Military personnel and frontline workers (RNs, firefighters, police officers, and teachers) receive 10% off with an ID.

Evoke Coffee

A coffee company that started as a mobile espresso bar inside CLT HUB on West Morehead.

CHNO

A mobile coffee company with plant-based energy drinks. 

Schedule: Find them inside Crown & Honey Boutique at 13901 E Independence Blvd. Follow other pop-up locations on Instagram

Detour Coffee Bar

The popular coffee truck with seasonal flavors, frappes and teas.

Robusta Coffee

A Vietnamese coffee pop-up shop. Vietnamese coffee has twice the amount of caffeine, according to founder Matt Robson, who imports the coffee from Vietnam.

White Veil Coffee

A Ukrainian-owned espresso bar serving weddings and corporate events in Charlotte and surrounding areas. 

Details: White Veil Coffee occasionally hosts pop-ups around the city. Follow them on Instagram for updates. You can also book them for a private event.

Dyad Coffee

A temporary pop-up until the company opens its next brick-and-mortar spot

Details: Dyad often sets up at Abari Gamebar and Premium Sound. Find upcoming locations and hours in their Instagram posts

Gotcha Matcha & Espresso

A popular South End pop-up with a heavy matcha-based menu. 

Schedule: Gotcha Matcha wrapped up their 90-day stent inside the Coterie Concept on Dec. 30, 2023. They’re currently looking for a new spot. You can follow their updates on Instagram.

Revival Coffee & Ice Cream

A mobile coffee truck serving locally sourced roasted coffee beans and ice cream. 

Schedule: You’ll often spot this truck at Atrium Health facilities and South End apartments. Find monthly location and hours here. Follow them on Instagram to keep up with updates and changes.

Daily Ritual Coffee

An espresso pop up with Turkish coffee located in Plaza Midwood.

Schedule: Daily Ritual has a temporary spot, until May 18, inside Sip City. It’s open 7:30am-2:30pm Monday through Friday at 917 Central Ave.

Ralph’s Coffee

This coffee truck is Charlotte’s iteration of fashion brand Ralph Lauren’s New York City coffee shop. It’s not a locally-owned spot but we thought it was worth a mention because it’s become a popular and Instagram-able spot.

Schedule: Find it in the Phillips Place courtyard at 6800 Phillips Pl. It’s open daily from 8am-4pm.
